Murray Bros. Caddyshack is located in World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, just south of Jacksonville. The Murray Bros. Caddyshack is open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner. The World Golf Village is home of the World Golf Hall of Fame, the World Golf Foundation, PGA TOUR Entertainment, The First Tee and the only golf course designed collaboratively by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. In addition to these golf ties, it is ideally located within driving distance of the Jacksonville metropolitan area and historic St. Augustine, which provides a strong, local customer base from which to draw.
Set among pristine lakes, beautiful loblolly pines, and stately oak trees, the King & Bear is a true collaboration of two of golf's greatest legends, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, with each hole containing characteristics of both players.
Measuring 7,279 yards from the stone tees and 5,119 yards from the green tees, this course is sure to challenge the skilled golfer while providing player-friendly conditions for the novice.
This is a "driver's" course, which should come as no surprise as both Palmer and Nicklaus wielded awesome power games in their primes. You'll also experience the wide fairways of Nicklaus and the fast greens of Palmer.
The Slammer & Squire Golf Course is located in the heart of the World Golf Village. This 18-hole championship resort course was designed by Bobby Weed, with design consultants Sam "The Slammer" Snead and Gene "The Squire" Sarazen.
The course officially opened to the public in May 1998. The Slammer & Squire features two distinct nines with generous fairways, contoured greens, and plenty of water hazards along with impressive views of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
The course was the host site of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, a Senior PGA TOUR EVENT and currently hosts an array of other golf events such as the Handa Cup.
The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum tells the story of the history of the game through its more than 140 members through displays of more than 4,000 artifacts and pieces of memorabilia, photography, art and video. Visitors should plan to spend at least two hours for their tour of the 70,000 square foot museum. Guests have the option of adding a hand held audio tour to their visit for a small additional charge. The audio tour contains more than 175 audio clips with stories from many Hall of Fame members including Arnold Palmer, Ben Crenshaw, Gary Player and many more. In 2012, a visit to the Hall will include the opportunity to view the 2012 Induction Class Tribute exhibit featuring dozens of items from Peter Alliss, Dan Jenkins, Hollis Stacy, Sandy Lyle and Phil Mickelson on display in Shell Hall. Other special exhibits currently include "Nancy Lopez: Pride & Personality exhibit and "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory", a major special exhibit including artifacts and photos on the life and times of one of the game's biggest supporters.
The museum is open to the public daily 10am-6pm Mon.-Sat. and 12pm-6pm on Sundays. The Hall is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Induction Days. The museum and theater observes holiday hours closing early Christmas and New Year's Eves and opening at noon on New Year's Day.
