Spring Update

Spring has indeed sprung, and as the swallows return to Capistrano, the Murray brothers return to St. Augustine. All the brothers will be coming in for the 9th annual Murray Brothers Caddyshack Golf Tournament April 23rd and 24th. It is not too late to enter your own foursome! If you haven’t noticed already, Mickey Kelly has been around and has ordered a lot of new items that are on sale in THE SHED.

Andy Murray has been spotted at the restaurant all the time of late. He has been wearing an apron in the kitchen himself lately, making sure his original delicious recipes are getting to the plates of his customers. He has also been doing some quality control at the bar, making sure nobody is watering down the gin. Andy, as well as Joel’s son Gus, will be celebrating a birthday April 5th.

Joel Murray has been seen recently going through the pants racks at some if L.A.’s trendiest thrift stores. Word on the street is that Joel will be “bringing it” to this year’s crazy pants competition. Another Murray Aries, Joel’s b-day is April 17th.

Brian Doyle-Murray, always the trendsetter, decided to “out hip” Matt Lauer and Lance Armstrong, falling off a bike and breaking his collar bone a week ahead of them both. Setting the bar very high, Doyle-Murray also threw in nearly a slab, count em, eight broken ribs. See if you can notice any difference in his voice on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. “Pick up that blood.”

John Murray, the nomadic, single Murray brother, was seen recently driving his RV on an episode of CBS’ Eleventh Hour. Apparently Johnny is officially taking his act on the road now.

Ed Murray, found it very easy to remember his first anniversary to his new wife Lisa. Ed and Lisa were married last year on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. Ed said, “it is key to remember it early in the day.”

Bill Murray is doing his best to single-handedly bring the economy around, by working on quite a few films of late. He can be seen soon in Jim Jarmusch's The Limits of Control with John Hurt and Oscar winner, Tilde Swinton, as well as Get Low, along side of Oscar winners Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek.

Ah spring, the air is so full of hope, lots of Murray brothers around the bar dreaming their Bulls will last more than a minute in the NBA playoffs, and perhaps that they will finally be witnessing that magical season for their Chicago Cubs. Why don’t you come in and pull up a stool?
